World Tankers Management is committed to providing a safe, healthy and secure workplace for all employees on board and ashore and to conducting ship operations in a manner that safeguards all property and cargo under our care and that protects and sustains the environment - in particular the marine environment, in which we will strive to cause no pollution whatsoever and furthermore reduce permitted emissions to levels as low as we possibly can.
IMPLEMENTATION OF THE POLICY
We shall achieve this commitment by having a strong and clearly written safety management system for all our employees to follow, by encouraging and supporting a healthy lifestyle, by providing security measures that protects not only the ship and personnel serving onboard, but information and data as well and by studying the environmental impacts of all our activities and putting in place measures to reduce them.
Furthermore, by identifying and reducing risks in all our activities, by learning from incidents we have experienced, and by encouraging a safety culture that includes training and motivating people to perform tasks in a manner that continually improves safety, health, security and environmentally protective performance in all operations we undertake.
