MANNING POLICY
Every ship operated by the Company shall be manned by suitably qualified, medically fit, and trained seafarers. Manning levels shall be sufficient so as to ensure safe, secure and fatigue free operations and a high standard of maintenance on board. The process of recruitment, re-employment and placement is to be conducted in a fair and transparent manner and offer personnel not only employment but wider career opportunities wherever possible.
IMPLEMENTATION OF THE POLICY
Manning levels on ships shall be in accordance with the Minimum Safe Manning Certificate, However, it shall be further strengthened based on safety, security and trading pattern requirements.
Seafarers new to the trade shall be given guidance and on-the-job mentoring to enable them to learn and perform safely and efficiently.
